Real Techniques Core Collection Brushes

Core Collection (around £20 depending)

Hey guys! So the other day I picked these up on ebay (a little risky but they're real). I wasn't sure if they'd live up to the hype- especially the very very famous 'buffing brush.'

Buffing brush: I love this! it's great for foundation and blends foundation really well, meaning tide lines are not an option! This is particularly great for me as my head is naturally darker than my neck-- it's just perfect.

Contour brush: This brush is actually a lot smaller than expected, but it's great if you're new to contouring like me. I use this with my 'NARS Laguna Bronzer' which I got for Christmas (and am currently having a love affair with). It's really easy to use and an all round great brush!
Foundation brush: I have neglected this slightly, as I find the buffing brush a lot better with foundation. However, not wanting to waste my money, I tried it out (and am loving) using it with my 'Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer' which it works beautifully with!

Detailer Brush: I don't use this often at all, but it's just so skinny and cute! I occasionally use this as a lip brush but I definitely use it least out of the collection.

Overall: I would definately say this is worth the £15.00 I paid! I use two of the brushes every day and the brushes are synthetic which makes them so so so easy to clean!

Naked 1 Palette - Urban Decay

The Naked Palette (£36.00)
Hey guys! So I finally got this for Christmas ,almost a month ago, I know, I know, but I really wanted to experiment with this before I did a full review.
Firstly, the velvet packaging looks beautiful. Except, however, it's like a dust magnet! I don't keep it in a dirty draw or an abandoned attic, but on the desk in my room, and it is already a slight pale brown in places. Secondly, the gold writing is starting to peel a little..which is overall not too impressive.

The pigmentation: it's amazing, all of these shadows are great and show up brilliantly on the face. The fallout is average, but I often do my foundation after my eyeshadow if i'm using a lot of shadows.

Some of my favourite shadows: I love love 'virgin' as a inner eye/brow bone highlight. I     also love 'darkhorse' for a brow colour (as my brows are very dark). One of my favourite combinations, is the very famous 'half baked' with 'smog' (the two golds next to each other in the palette).

Overall: I would say it is the perfect neutrals palette! The pigmentation, the colour variation, What more could a girl ask for?

A good dupe: MUA - Heaven and Earth Palette (£4.00)
